How cold should my refrigerator actually be?
Aim for the upper 30s in the fresh food section and near zero in the freezer. Use a thermometer in a glass of water, not the door display. A reading ten degrees off usually points to airflow or defrost problems rather than a bad setting.
My fridge is fifteen years old. Is repair still sensible?
